Taylor’d Nails Academy offers a hybrid Nail Technology program that combines online theory coursework with in-person, hands-on training. This format allows students flexibility while still meeting Virginia state requirements for licensure.

Yes. Online theory enrollment is open year-round, allowing students to begin their education at any time.

Hands-on training sessions are offered four times per year in:

• January 
• April 
• July 
• September
   

Students may begin online theory at any time and are encouraged to complete most or all theory coursework before attending hands-on training. This helps students feel confident and prepared when transitioning into practical instruction.

The Virginia Nail Technician program requires 150 total clock hours, which include:

• Online theory instruction 
• In-person practical (hands-on) training
   

All required hours must be completed before applying to sit for the Virginia state board exam.

Yes. Hands-on training is required and must be completed in person under the supervision of a licensed instructor. This portion focuses on practical skills, sanitation, safety, and state board readiness.

Hands-on classes are held in person at Taylor’d Nails Academy’s licensed training location at 3415 Wilson Ave Lynchburg VA 24501. Exact dates and schedules are provided once a student is enrolled and assigned to a session.

Yes. Many students work while completing the program. The online theory portion is self-paced, and hands-on sessions are scheduled during designated training periods to allow students to plan ahead.

Students receive instruction in:

Yes. Taylor’d Nails Academy operates as a state-licensed nail technology school and follows all Virginia DPOR requirements for curriculum, instruction, and supervision.

Additional details regarding kits, supplies, and payment options are provided during enrollment. 

Yes. Payment options and plans are available. We offer a paid in full discount of $300 or an interest free payment plan. The payment plan requires $2500 down as a deposit and then 5 monthly payments of $500.

While job placement is not guaranteed, students receive guidance on:

• Preparing for employment 
• Understanding licensing steps 
• Entering the nail industry with confidence
